cover. There is a little wear on the edges of the cover and the pages
are a little browned but otherwise the book is in great condition.

on the line between Memphis and New Orleans. Few works of fiction have
been this popular throughout the years. The cover is worn on the edges,
binding good condition, pages browned but also in good condition.

condition.

"A Wonder Book" by Nathaniel Hawthorne year unknown
236 pages Hawthorne has been of the opinion that many of the classical
myths were capable of being rendered into very capital reading for children.
In this little volume he has worked up six of them with this end in view.
Some of the titles are "The Gorgon's Head," "The Golden
Touch," "The Paradise of Children," "The Three Golden
Apples," "The Miraculous Pitcher," "The Chimaera."
The pretty embossed cover is worn, Hawthorne's picture page is loose,
the rest of the pages are good, the binding is good except in the middle
pages. Someone has written their name in the inside front cover.

He meets a black man named Mesty who had been brought into America as a
slave and then sold. He then stowed away on an English merchant vessel and
escaped. Mesty tells him his life story and they become friends. The little
book has a great cover in good condition, pages are a little brown but good
condition, binding great.

were slain and she was taken by the Syrians to be a servant to a princess
there. She has an unwavering faith and a good and loving spirit.
There are two other stories, Jamie Kenyon's Trial, and The Little Waif.
The cover is very interesting and in good condition. Some of the pages have
great illustrations, the pages are browned and some are loose from the binding.

in everyday situations. There are also pictures of momentous occasions.
In each picture there is a sincerity in his affection for the life and people
he paints. The book has his paintings going back as far as the fourties
in it, just great pictures you will all remember. The book is in near mint
condition, the front edge is a little worn.
