 Item # BO1620   $38.00    "Endymion" by Benjamin Disraeli The Earl of Beaconsfield   1904   410 pages This book contains the works of Benjamin Disraeli embracing novels, romances, plays, poems, biography, short stories, and great speeches with a critical introduction by Edmund Gosse L. L. D., Librarian to the House of Lords. The book has a beautiful maroon and gold  embossed cover. There is a little wear on the edges of the cover and the pages are a little browned but otherwise the book is in great condition.

Hale   1911   46 pages  This is the story of Philip Nolan a Lieutenant in the Army of the United States written in the darkest period of the Civil War to show what "love of country" is. The cover and edges are worn, pages brown and loose from the binding, also someone has marked some paragraphs with ink.

Falkner  1881    526 pages  The title of the book is also the name of a new and splendid Passenger River Boat purchased by Captain Oliver Quitman and will be put on the line between Memphis and New Orleans. Few works of fiction have been this popular throughout the years. The cover is worn on the edges, binding good condition, pages browned but also in good condition.

"Don Winslow and the Scorpions Stronghold" by Frank Martinek  1946   248 pages  Chief Investigator Don Winslow of Crime Destroyers, Inc. was chosen by the United States Government to chase down the Scorpion and his crime organization and block his next deadly move. The covers are good, a little wear on the edges, pages brown but in good condition. Someone has printed their name and some numbers inside the front second cover page.

"The American Boy How to Book" from the series of America Boy Books, the most entertaining and practical magazine in the world for young Americans.  year unknown  126 pages, soft cover. The contents list the chapters such as The boy trapper, How to make a canvas canoe, how to make your own fishing tackle, how to throw a lasso, how to cut paper, etc. Covers are worn and loose from the pages, pages are in good condition.

"A Wonder Book" by Nathaniel Hawthorne  year unknown   236 pages  Hawthorne has been of the opinion that many of the classical myths were capable of being rendered into very capital reading for children. In this little volume he has worked up six of them with this end in view. Some of the titles are "The Gorgon's Head," "The Golden Touch," "The Paradise of Children," "The Three Golden Apples," "The Miraculous Pitcher," "The Chimaera." The pretty embossed cover is worn, Hawthorne's picture page is loose, the rest of the pages are good, the binding is good except in the middle pages. Someone has written their name in the inside front cover.

D.   1907       193 pages  The contents are as follows: The Sower, The Kingdom of Heaven, The Lord and the Servants, The Wedding Guests, The Good Samaritan, The Prodigal Son, etc. There are also many great illustrations. The front cover is good, the back cover has a stain on it, they are worn on the edges, the pages are browned but in good condition except for the introduction pages where someone has underlined in ink, the second cover page is also loose but the binding is good.

"The Immortal Moment" by May Sinclair 1908 315 pagesThis book is the story of Kitty Tailleur. It was illustrated and decorated by C. Cole Phillips. The illustrations are great to look at. The binding is a little loose, most of the pages are in good condition, a couple of them are torn a little on the bottom edge. There is a name written on the inside page.

"Penrod" by Booth Tarkington  1926  345 pages  This is a famous classic book that tells the story of an eleven year old boy growing up and his adventures and how he changes. There are a lot of very interesting illustrations also in the book. cover is worn especially on the edges, pages are browned and some have stains, binding is a little loose.

D.  1902  464 pages This book is a narrative of his life and death, together with his ancestry, youth, education, his struggles as a young unknown minister, his rise to fame, his home life, his triumphant trip around the world, etc. Also extracts from his most eloquent sermons and lectures.  It is illustrated with engravings from original photographs. Cover and edges are worn, pages very good, binding good except on inside back cover.

Item # BO1630     $22.00  "Midshipman Easy" by Captain Marryatt  year unknown   384 pages   The story of Jack Easy who grows up and becomes a midshipman in Her Majesty's Navy and is stationed near the Bay of Biscay. He meets a black man named Mesty who had been brought into America as a slave and then sold. He then stowed away on an English merchant vessel and escaped. Mesty tells him his life story and they become friends. The little book has a great cover in good condition, pages are a little brown but good condition, binding great.   

                 Item # BO1631   $12.00           "The Little Missionary" by Amanda M. Douglas   1904   93 pages  A little book of three short stories. the first one is the Little Missionary about  a little Jewish girl whose mother and father were slain and she was taken by the Syrians to be a servant to a princess there.  She has an unwavering faith and a good and loving spirit.  There are two other stories, Jamie Kenyon's Trial, and The Little Waif. The cover is very interesting and in good condition. Some of the pages have great illustrations, the pages are browned and some are loose from the binding.

"The Norman Rockwell Poster Book"  1976    This is a great collection of Norman Rockwell Prints. The book has 20 Full Color Posters Suitable for Framing. It has been edited by Michael Schau. Norman Rockwell is the best known, best loved artist and illustrator in our country's history painting "American Life." Norman Rockwell paints everyday people in everyday  situations. There are also pictures of momentous occasions.  In each picture there is a sincerity in his affection for the life and people he paints. The book has his paintings going back as far as the fourties in it, just great pictures you will all remember. The book is in near mint condition, the front edge is a little worn.

The most up-to-date useful comprehensive garden information available has been published in this book. The book has chapters on Geographic and climatic garden regions, garden making, plant material, plant science, uses for plants, etc. There are also many many pages of illustrations and color and black and white photographs. Covers are good, front one has some spots on it, binding very good, pages browned but in great condition.
